Benefit of ICWA membership

3.1. Membership shall be open to individuals who ascribe to the Object of the Association.
3.2. Three categories of membership shall be available with associated privileges as described:
3.2.1. FULL MEMBER is a person who has paid the prescribed fees. A Full Member has one
Vote.
3.2.2. LIFE-TIME MEMBER is a person who has paid the prescribed fees for such membership
and is a past President of the Association. A Life-time Member has one vote.
3.2.3. HONORARY MEMBER is a person who has been conferred such status at the discretion
of the Board of Directors and whose status has been confirmed as such at the Annual General
Meeting of the Association. Honorary member shall not have the right to vote at meetings of
the Association.
3.3. Membership fees for all categories of membership shall be determined by the Board.
3.4. Membership year shall run from April 1st until March 31 st .
3.5. Membership fees of a continuing member are payable at the start of the membership year. A new
Member may join at any time by paying the fees for the year.
3.6. Membership fees are non-refundable in case of withdrawal, exclusion or suspension.
3.7. All applications for membership shall be approved by the Board.
3.8. Any member wishing to withdraw from membership may do so upon a notice in writing to the
Secretary.
3.9. Any member may be expelled or suspended from the Association by a majority vote of the Board
for any reason deemed by the Board to be harmful to the Association, or for failure to abide by
the Bylaws, or for having been disruptive at meetings or functions of the Association.
3.10. Any member may be suspended from the Association pending an investigation by the
Board into the conduct of the member.
3.11. Memberships are non-transferable.

4. Member in Good Standing
4.1. A member in good standing on a particular day is defined as a member who has paid the dues and
Assessments at least 45 days prior to that day and has not been suspended from membership.
4.2. A member in good standing is eligible to:
4.2.1. Vote at all meetings of the Association provided he or she is not an Honorary Member;
4.2.2. Move or second motions,
4.2.3. sign requisitions to call a special meeting,
4.2.4. sign a no-confidence motion,
4.2.5. Nominate another eligible member for election to the Board and,
4.2.6. Be a candidate for such an election if the member meets the eligibility criteria set out in
Article 8.1.
