Community Events

The ICWA is a diverse organization that encourages individuals to join and interact with each other. Community events are sometimes held in public spaces for easy access to those using public transport. Events usually range for different times allowing flexible hours for people to join. The events are hosted by and attended by various individuals of all ages and backgrounds creating a friendly environment for everyone to join.

We are thrilled to announce the Dr. Zohra Husaini Memorial Award—a prestigious recognition for individuals advancing the rights and dignity of women and girls!
Dr. Zohra Husaini, a trailblazing scholar and passionate advocate for inclusion and human rights, dedicated her life to empowering women. This award honors her legacy and celebrates those continuing her mission.
Eligibility Highlights:
✔️ Open to anyone identifying as a woman working to advance women’s rights.
✔️ Special consideration for young leaders, grassroots advocates, and champions of intersectionality.
✔️ Projects addressing domestic violence, indigenous rights, and anti-discrimination efforts are highly encouraged.
Award Details:
💰 $2,500 Prize, sponsored by the Hameed family through the Husaini Foundation.
📅 Deadline: Applications close on February 15, 2025.
